FoodLab Detroit sought to create deeper conversations about labor, sustainability, workplace culture, and systems change within Detroit's food industry. Building on earlier work to develop guiding principles, member expectations, and self-assessment tools, we helped design a fellowship and roundtable series that brought together food entrepreneurs, workers, advocates, and movement builders to learn from one another and imagine a more equitable food system.

The work culminated in two publications, A Seat at the Table (2019) and Finding Our Voice (2020), which captured lessons, stories, reflections, and ideas that emerged from the fellowship and community conversations.
