Girls' Sports Campaign: How can we create more opportunities for girls to play?
Scope & Outcomes:
Helped shape a regional Title IX at 50 awareness campaign
Researched barriers and opportunities related to girls' sports participation
Gathered and synthesized input from girls and partner organizations
Developed campaign messaging, website content, and video narratives
Supported planning for a girls' sports sampling event introducing participants to multiple activities
Elevated girls' perspectives on confidence, leadership, belonging, and community
Strengthened collaboration among sports, recreation, and community partners
Youth Sports Storytelling Series: What does access to play make possible?
Scope & Outcomes:
Conducted interviews with leaders from 10 youth sports and recreation organizations
Identified themes and storylines across diverse programs and communities
Wrote profiles for Project Play's website, newsletter, and social media channels
Highlighted the impact of biking, boxing, tennis, horseback riding, soccer, skating, running, recreation, and equipment-sharing programs
Elevated stories of confidence, mentorship, family connection, youth leadership, and belonging
Helped communicate the value of sports and recreation through community-centered storytelling
